SJI Campfire 2017

On the 14th of March, our cadets attended a campfire organised by St. Joseph Institute. Here is a poem they have written, based on their experience.

Ignītus
Roasted charcoal upon the pyre,
Moods spurning
The flames are burning,
Burning higher.

Night comes whilst darkness befalls.
The smoke hovers,
Arms linking among others.
Breaking silence, Lasallians call.

Yellow sparks against the red,
The voices of many fill the dark of night.
Performances we keep anticipating.
Reminiscence of a monster well fed,
Spirits of thus take flight.
As the end approaches, dimming.
